Fort Bend Martial Arts Student Spotlight - Taylor Garcia

Martial Arts Sugar Land Student Taylor GarciaTaylor Garcia led her school basketball team to an undefeated season this year while serving as team captain. Taylor is in the fourth grade at St. Theresa Catholic School. She is 10 years old. Taylor is in the math and grammar club at St. Theresa. She is an all A and AB honor student. Taylor has earned the Good Citizenship Award, all A and AB Honor Roll Awards and the Best Poem Award. Taylor competes on the Fort Bend Martial Arts Academy Varsity Team and is also a member of the school's National Team. She has received the "Rising Star Award," "Most Improved Award," "Best Kicking Award," and the "Most Energetic Award." Taylor plans to attend Harvard or Baylor University. She wants to be a children's Neonatal surgeon. Taylor likes to read and do arts and crafts. Taylor says she is very good with children and wants to help them with their medical needs. She says Taekwondo has taught her discipline, respect, improved her self-esteem and to control her emotions. She says it has also taught her to stay on her toes.
