Fort Bend Martial Arts Student Spotlight - Rory Strenger

Martial Arts Sugar Land Student Rory StrengerRory Strenger and his brother Max along with their family drive to the Taekwondo school on Saturdays from Austin, Texas to attend classes. The Strengers relocated to Austin due to work, but did not want to take the brothers out of Fort Bend Martial Arts Academy. Rory is 12 years old and attends Hudson Bend Middle School in Austin. He is in the eighth grade. Rory is in the Gifted and Talented program and is in the Honor Society. Rory plays the trombone in the school band. He is also a member of the Chess Puzzles Club and the Engineering Club. Rory also runs cross country on the school track team. At Fort Bend Martial Arts Academy, Rory competes on the Select Team and has earned the "All A Award” for his excellent school work. Rory plans to attend the Juilliard School and wants to have a career in music. Rory notes, taking Taekwondo has improved his mental strength. It has taught him to keep calm and how to be coachable.
