Martial Arts Sugar Land Student Max StrengerMax Strenger and his brother Rory will always have a special place in the hearts of the Fort Bend Martial Arts family. They were one of the initial "First 20" to enroll in the school. The picture of this group still proudly hangs in the school. Max is a freshman at Lake Travis High School in Austin. He is in the Gifted and Talented program at his school. Max is 15 years old. He plays the saxophone in the school band. Max competes on the Select Team at Fort Bend Martial Arts Academy. He has earned the "Most Improved Award," and has received the "All AB Honor Roll Award" for his school grades. Max wants to attend the University of Texas or the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He plans to have a career in computer programming or developing. Max enjoys computer programming, gaming and playing in the band. Max states he is a better person because of Taekwondo. It has taught him a lot about himself, he states. It’s taught him humility, fortitude and patience. "Saying you almost have a black belt really doesn’t have the same ring as, I am a black belt," according to Max.
